When I generated these pieces, I wanted to show the raw beauty of the landscape. I wanted to share the sense of serenity I felt, standing amidst the vastness of the mountains. The play of light, shadow, and mist spoke to me, revealing both awe and mystery.
I hoped that those who viewed this work would feel a deep connection to nature, experience a sense of longing to explore untouched places, and find solace in the simplicity and majesty of the world around them. My aim was to remind everyone of the grand scale of nature and our humble place within it.
I am still yet to visit any place like this, but just knowing it exists gives me some hope and calm. I wanted to bring forward:
- Serenity: The tranquil landscape, with its soft hues and gentle gradients, evokes feelings of peace and calm. The mist enveloping the mountains further adds to this sense of serenity.
- Awe: The grandeur of the sprawling mountains and the vastness of the valley can inspire feelings of wonder and reverence for nature's majesty.
- Mystery: The play of light and shadow, especially with the mist, adds an element of enigma. What lies beyond those mountains? What secrets does the mist conceal?
- Longing: The untouched beauty of the landscape might evoke a yearning in the viewer, perhaps a desire to explore such places or to reconnect with nature.
- Solitude: The absence of human presence and the vastness of the landscape can convey a sense of isolation, but in a peaceful, introspective way.
I created these images for myself, my own needs and sense of beauty to:
